Dear Morrow Middle School Family,

Welcome to Morrow Middle School, Home of the Bobcats, where our school motto is “We Are 3D: Diverse, Determined & Distinguished.”  The 2020-2021 school year promises to be one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding years of your life.  As one of the first Dual Language Middle Schools in the state of Georgia, the program allows our students the opportunity to obtain Spanish proficiency in written and oral language.  Morrow Middle School is a school of excellence that provides students with rigorous and relevant educational experiences that will allow our young scholars to compete globally.

Morrow Middle School is staffed with some of the hardest-working educators in the state of Georgia.  We are a diverse school, with a proud tradition of academic achievement and athletic success.  It is my goal to continue to build on this rich tradition and history.  I strongly believe that by cultivating our young minds and providing creative and engaging learning experiences each day, this will allow our students to achieve beyond measure.  Additionally, collaboration with parents, teachers, students and community stakeholders will allow us to move toward the common goal of improving the education for all students is paramount. Through this shared vision, I believe that Morrow Middle School will become a globally competitive school of academic excellence.

As the proud principal of this prestigious learning institution, I am confident that by setting high expectations, and challenging students to work hard each day, we can grow as a learning community.  Furthermore, in order to foster your child’s social and emotional growth, please encourage him or her to get involved in extra-curricular activities.  Research shows that this involvement directly contributes to an increase in academic success.  As well as parents and students who are immersed in school activities tend to enjoy school more.

Parental involvement is critical for a child to be successful at school.  As your principal, I ask that you become active participants in your child’s education.  so please contact the school if you are interested in volunteering.

In closing, please feel free to call, email, or visit me with your concerns or ideas for the betterment of the school.  I look forward to meeting and partnering with you this school year.

Educationally yours,

Lawvigneaud D. Harrell
